Freedom...!!!!

Tomorrow I'll get my little mini scooter that can be folded and only weighs 23 kilos. It's amazing and so smart, now I don't need the wheelchair anymore and the daddy gets his hands free. No more pushing me around, now I'll do the driving! It has a pet-name, Luggie, and is defo my new best friend. I'm now not such a pain in the bum to take out as I'm now mobile. So going into London for the day this Christmas holiday will be nice and easy and actually possible. I have also finally filled the form out to get my disabled card for my car. That has taken me 4 years to come to terms with having to have, but why wouldn't I really? It will make my (our) life a lot easier and that's worth it, isn't it?!
Let me show you guys the mini scooter that will give me my freedom more or less back.
Tomorrow afternoon it arrives and it's blue, Chelsea blue which made the daddy very happy. It's not as wide as my wheelchair so will fit everywhere I go. I'm so excited and so is the daddy. It suddenly gives him a lot less stress when we're out as a family.

  1. Big gratz on Luggie, I hope 'he' will make your life so much easier. And about the disable parking, don't you think that it's because it seems so final? Like it's the last box to tick and 'admitting' to society that you're 'not like everyone else'?
    Again, gratz on Luggie

    1. Yeah it could be and maybe because I've seen 'normal' people being rude to people parking at the disabled places.

  2. That's great news - and will give you so much more freedom - the colour sounds really nice - and I just love the name - luggie - she/he feels like a new member of your family! X.

  5. Congrats on the new scooter!!!! My Grandmother has MS and because she was diagnosed reasonably young as well, I have never known her not to have MS. I highly recommend hydrotherapy if you haven’t already tried it. She swears by it and says the pool saved her mobility. She now is 80 yrs old and is just as active as she was when I was a kid. Following you back and I am sooooo glad you found me through the blog hop!!! I cannot wait to read more about you and your precious family.
