Christmas been and gone. Happy New Year

Christmas dinner ready -  actually just the starters and one of the desserts is on these photos.

We arrived in England in the middle of the night the 23rd of December. Our flight was delayed. BOOO!!!!

But apart from delayed flights to and also from England we had an amzing Christmas. Lots and lots of presents, amazing food, football, shopping a bit, pub lunch, seeing friends and family.

Baby cousin was bigger and thought her big cousins were funny.
The little man went with his daddy, Papa, uncle D. to see Aston Villa. 42.000 people. They won and the little man (though not an Aston Villa fan) was impressed.
Pub Lunch. I had a pulled pork burger and fat chips. Very yummy!
Firework from our backgarden in Denmark.

We got back home just before midnight on th 30th of December. Just over 24 hours later we shouted Happy New Year! And watched the firework.

The Princess on stage

The princess takes singing and drama classes at a Musical School nearby. She loves it and we love watching the shows they do. Last weekend she rehearsed for many hours. Saturday and Sunday afternoons they performed. Here's two pictures from the actually show and two from the many hours of rehearsals.

It was a great perfomance they all did and they all looked so happy and they enjoyed very much.

Rehearsing the songs before the show.

A chat and a laugh in one of the 5 minutes breaks during rehearsals.

Now there's a break over Christmas and New Year. 2nd week in Januar they start up again. Tomorrow is last day of school and tomorrow is also when we're off to England.

Every morning

- there's a little treat in the draw for each of the diglots (never for the parents) just a little gummibear or a caramel. Not once has the little Elf that sorts it forgotten. Amazing eh'?
It's my favourite Christmas decoration.

Which Christmas decoration are your favourite?

Here's a picture of our new arrived Christmas tree.

December, Christmas tree, Christmas Market and a hat to wear throughout the month

The little man with his Christmas hat he will be wearing all December.

It's now December. We have attended the only Christmas party at school which was held on the 1st of December. We've been to the Christmas Market in town and we have yet to watch a Christmas film.

The tween (formerly called the princess in my blog posts... tween is what she is now and princesses are so last season or something like that) is rehearsing a lot these days with her musical school. They're performing the weekend before Christmas and just 4 days before we leave for England. We're very much looking forward to seeing the show.

The little man is back in the school chess club and loving it. He played against his daddy yesterday and 4 moves was all it took to win. Well, the daddy 'wasn't quite ready' apparently but that's no excuse. The little man beat me twice but you don't hear me complain. He's just better at chess than his mummy.

The weather here is cold, frosty and sunny today. A lovely Sunday - perfect for the daddy and little man to play footy outside.

Oooh and the Fairy delivered our Christmas tree in the night. Very magical! We've decorated the tree now and it's very pretty. Pictures can be found here on my Instagram.

Looking at at the sky..... Or at her daddy taking the picture.

It's Sunday today. The photo is from a month ago and has no relevance to this post as such. I just like it. Last Saturday Uncle D,  Aunty E and baby cousin went back to England. We enjoyed having them and got lots of precious time with our little niece/cousin. In less than 2 months we're flying to England for a week and to have Christmas there.
I would rather we drove and got the ferry from Hook of Holland but this year we're flying. It's okay as we get loads of help in the airport so it's not too difficult.

Here's a few photos from when Uncle D, Aunty E and baby cousin were her.

Now it's holiday....

Today was last day of school. Today was don't-come-to-school-until-10am. Today we nearly got to school late for the first time. We slept in a bit and we had tea, bread and fruit in front of the tv. We didn't get dressed right away and we therefore ended up rushing a bit. Typically when you have loads of time you nearly run late.
Ah well, we made it in time. There were singing and the nativity play then the handing over presents to their teachers. There were the Happy Christmas' and the Goodbuy's and the see-you-soon's to do before we headed home.

Now we have two weeks off before school start again.

And now it's nearly Christmas.....

The time go so fast and we're so busy - fun and nice busy but never the less very busy! Saturday we went to Flensborg in Germany to enjoy their Christmas Spirit. It was lovely and very Christmassy both inside and outside.
Nana has been and gone bringing a massive suitcase with presents. The schoolparty with the princess performing has been and gone. Yesterday the princess sang with 300 other 9-10 year olds at a big Christmas concert. Today it's Christmas fun at gymnastics and Friday it's the last day then holiday! YEAH!!!
The Christmas tree arrived Saturday morning, delivered by our fairy who sits in the top, and the princess and little man have decorated it.
This year we're spending christmas in Denmark so all the shenanigans are happening on the 24th at night. We do though have our own little Christmas again on the 25th were we open all the presents from the English lot.

We are all very much looking forward to Christmas and can't wait to relax and watch Christmas films.

Are you looking forward to Christmas?

Christmas is near....

And we're here....

Here in England at Nana's and Papa's where we will be enjoying Christmas with all the family. We've been here since Friday very late as the flight was delayed 2 hours. We've been quite busy since we arrived.
The little man has been to his first football game. The princess, Nana and I went shopping and had a lovely pub lunch. We've played games and had lovely big family dinners already.
So we're more than ready for Christmas now...

It's a kind of Magic.....

The tree arrived in the night. We woke up and there it was with it's lovely lights on and the fairy on the top. The diglots have now decorated it nearly all by them self. Nearly I said....... It's pretty, isn't it?!!

Sunday, 1 December 2013

Wow, it's already December....

Since Friday, Christmas has seriously been pushing it's way into town and our home.... Friday, the man in red aka Father Christmas came into town on a boat. His wife wasn't with him this year - rumour has it it that it might be stress but nothing is confirmed! Well, the man in red arrived and he walked with the all the children and their parents to the museum (that's right, we've got one of those in town) where 2 oversized Elves apparently live. Then everyone including the 2 oversized Elves walked to the town square where the big Christmas tree is and turned the lights on.

Saturday, we got all the Christmas stuff out and got the house decorated. I had been looking forward to decorate the piano - it's our first Chritmas with it in the house. The little man straight away needed his Elf hat on and sat with the daddy to watch Santa Claus the movie.

This morning we woke up and the fairy had already delivered the Christmas tree. The little man and the princess were delighted and we decorated it all together. The fairy sat overlooking it all from the top.

Today, it was the town's Christmas market and we went to have a look around. The diglots both tried Rudolph - the princess staying on for 31 seconds.

Are you all Christmased up??

Tivoli in Copenhagen....

I went with the Danish MS Society to see the Christmas lights in Tivoli, Copenhagen. I also went to Hamley's to look at Lego and to high five Ironman. Everything in Copenhagen looked sooo Christmassy already...

Brunch....

Sunday the daddy and I went to the best cafe in town by the harbour to have brunch. Just him and me.... It was our Christmas present, we enjoyed the lovely food and some adult time! Though I do think the princess and little man were more excited than us, to have some mummy and daddy free time with mormor (grandma)

Look how happy I look! It was a buffet!!! Do I need to say more...?!

A little helper....

Onkel K came around today to hang up the little man's basketball net he got for Christmas. Of course the little man was helping out! Uncle let him do some drilling which he apperently already knew how to do.....
Uncle: "You hold here and press this"
The little man looking up at him "I know..." and he drilled away!!

All up and ready, the little man showed us his skills....

Watch out Michael Jordan a new star is born....
