Just finished this book. It was billiant and a very easy read. It reminded me about when I had just had the princess and we spent our days going to different playgroups etc. I was never a yummy mummy but I met a few around the playgroups in Crouch End.
This was my book no. 2 this year. I agreed to do the #50booksin2015 but I don't think I'll get there in time. Looks more like I'll get to #25booksin2015.
My borther in law and his lovely wife are coming to visit from England tomorrow and staying for a few days. They're bringing some books for me. Yeah!!
Do you read? Can you recommend me any books?

Books.
I read a lot of books. I used to read a lot then I had children and I tried to still read but fell asleep more often than not trying. Now the princess and little man are bigger I have more energi to read again. Often at weekend mornings where we relaxe. I just finished this one and really really enjoyed it. I read One Day which David Nicholls also wrote a while back but I think this book is even better.
Have you read it??

Books! 2 finished in 2 weeks.
Maybe a bit more than 2 weeks but not much. This was the first one and if you don't have anything to read in the summer holiday, I can recommend this. It's really good and easy to read. It has all the elements in it that I needed to enjoy it.
This was the 2nd book and that I read it in 3 days. To be fair I've read it before 15 years ago but I didn't remember everything. It is such a good book and a must read I think. If you love to read that is.
It's a 15 year boy autistic boy telling the story. I enjoyed even more this time around and I do think I might read again at some point.
I am now starting Gone Girl and after that Me Before You is waiting on my bookshelf. I would love it if you could recommend some books.
What books do you read??

3 books. Yeah!!
I read a lot at the moment and was running out of books to read. Living in Denmark means I can't just pop down town and find cheap paper backs in English. Saturday the daddy and I was on our way to celebrate our very good friend's daugther and we stopped for a toilet break. Of all the places this little shop had 3 books for £5. So I now have enogh books until we visit England i mid May. Yeah!!!!

Yet another fun afternoon at the library.
The little man headed straight for the iPad. The princess for the art table but soon after the little man joined her. The princess found new books to read. She has at this exact moment read 9961 pages and will tomorrow reach the 10.000 pages mark which means that Tuesday next week at morning assembly the Headmaster will hand over a backpack and say well done. I'll show pictures of that next week.

The Amazing Library.
We have one of those in our town. Finding books to take home is the first thing we do then we play. Our Library has so many different activities and the diglots love it! How are your local Library??

Charlie and Lola, the postcard.
Uncle D came to visit us this weekend from England. Aunty E couldn't come with him this time because she had to work but she gave Uncle D a very special letter to give to the diglots. Uhhh..... Exciting, eh? What could it be??
Well, Aunty E works at the library and get to go to library things with work. Cool because that means she gets to meet writers sometimes and this time she met Lauren Child who wrote the fantastic Charlie and Lola books. The letter Uncle D brought with him was a cool signed postcard from Lauren Child. How cool is that...

Still no school.... Believe it or not but the children miss it!
It's well into the second week of the school lock out here in Denmark. The princess is not enjoying it, she misses school, her teachers, her friends and the routine of the week days. I'm doing my best to have as many activities planned as possible, and structure. Playdates with friends from school and library visits are some of the things we do. Like the other days when the princess has had friends here, today the chosen game was to play "school". I printed out some maths things for them to do and they read books to each other. This is their choice and not me telling them to do school things which I think shows how much they miss school. There's still no news on when schools will be back and that's really frustrating for us all.
Luckily our local library is brilliant with lots of creative stuff to do. Monday I took the princess and her friend there.....

Earrings and Top Model drawing books.
Those are books the princess had wished for and her wish was granted... 3 books she got for her birthday! I'm not good enough at drawing to be allowed to have a go, but her moster (aunty) is. So a morning spent at her house was just the best! She came home beaming and with beautifully painted nails as well! Moster is the No 1 at the moment! She took the princess to have her ears pierced just after her birthday. Now there's no way any of us can get the No 1 spot however hard we try. Well, as long as the princess is happy....
Tomorrow moster will have a day with the little man (no, his ears won't get pierced... EVER!) I will take the princess to have her hair trimmed and my own too. That I'm still allowed to do... maybe I'm slowly making my way back to the top...
You can make your own lovely free collage here.
Or maybe you'll be the winner of some lovely things from here so make sure you have a look!

Mr Men's new additions!
By the princess, the little man and the daddy that is! It was the princess' idea as we by now have read all our Mr Men (and little Miss) books. I guess she felt we needed some new and more hmmm... scary characters! Well, here's the princess' new addition....
Here's the little man's....
The Daddy's might not be scary, then again... All that hair is a bit freaky!
Stories have yet to be written, maybe more characters will be added. We'll have to wait and see...
Did you read Mr Men and Little Miss when you were little?? What do you think about our new additions?

So Much For That.
That's the title of the book I'm reading at the moment. Lionel Shriver wrote it, she also wrote We Need To Talk About Kevin which was the first book of hers I read. A Perfectly Good Family was the 2nd and now I'm reading So Much For That. I've enjoyed reading her work and will defo find another one to read when I finish this.
What are you reading at the moment?

The shiny white pages are not all that shiny anymore!
Writing is already on the first of those nice blank and shiny pages.... A few phone calls on the first day back to reality, things quickly being scribled down and looks a bit messy already. Had promised myself to write neatly and easy to read. Obviously my memory is not fully back on track!
The very last bit of Christmas has left the house. On the wall above where all the Christmas cards hung, the princess' Christmas presents she made us, are hanging now. Waiting for new artwork from the little man and princess to be made, to fill the empty space the cards left behind when removed!
The little man's presents he made for us, are also put up filled with flowers.
I bought myself this message board with some of my Christmas money. Hoping to make the mummy-secretary-job a bit easier to overlook. What to cook, who's playing with who and where, need to buy, remember gym clothes.... You get the picture! Will it work? I'll let you know in month or two.

Silent Sunday.
The house is so quiet. The princess is at a birthday party and the little man is at mormor's (grandma). I finished my book (I Miss Mummy) yesterday so I'll use the calm quiet time in the house to start a new one. It's called The Other Hand by Chris Cleave, and I've been told it's brilliant. This is the description on the back of the book:
We don't want to tell you too much about this book. It is a truly special story and we don't want to spoil it. Nevertheless, you need to know something, so we will just say this: It is extremely funny, but the African beach scene is horrific. The story starts there, but the book doesn't. And it's what happens afterwards that is most important. Once you have read it, you'll want to tell everyone about it. When you do, please don't tell them what happens either. The magic is in how it unfolds.
I can't wait to find out what it's about and NO I won't tell you when I eventually finish it.

I'm reading this book at the moment.
It's brilliant and I can highly recommend it. I'm roughly half way through it now and I am really enjoying it. My soulmate's little sister gave it to me for Christmas.

A really good book.
I'm reading Eleven Hours by Paullina Simons at the moment. It's brilliant. I love her writing style.
I always make sure I read paperbacks though cos they don't hurt so much when falling on my face. After having children I seem to fall asleep right away when I go to bed.... So I have to read paperbacks or I'll have to explain the black eyes...!!!
Any tips on reading in bed without falling asleep are very welcome....
