A girl with a bow and arrow.

We went to the princess' school today. Yes, I know it's Saturday but once a year they have to go to school on a Saturday. Last week was special at school, all years work together on one project for a week. 6 year olds work with 15 year olds, helping each other achieving the same goal. The princess loved it. This year they created their own city with their own Mayor, banks, currencies, shops, tax office, activities, hairdressers and lots more. You got paid, had to pay tax, could get fired etc. Today we all went along to see the results of the week. The princess had to 'work' for ½ an hour in the art gallery selling the very 'famous' pictures. After that she wanted to spent her hard earned 'money' on the fun activities.
The daddy and the little man had a fight which the little man won... Left the daddy sulking for a bit but the audience cheering!

Freedom...!!!!

Tomorrow I'll get my little mini scooter that can be folded and only weighs 23 kilos. It's amazing and so smart, now I don't need the wheelchair anymore and the daddy gets his hands free. No more pushing me around, now I'll do the driving! It has a pet-name, Luggie, and is defo my new best friend. I'm now not such a pain in the bum to take out as I'm now mobile. So going into London for the day this Christmas holiday will be nice and easy and actually possible. I have also finally filled the form out to get my disabled card for my car. That has taken me 4 years to come to terms with having to have, but why wouldn't I really? It will make my (our) life a lot easier and that's worth it, isn't it?!
Let me show you guys the mini scooter that will give me my freedom more or less back.
Tomorrow afternoon it arrives and it's blue, Chelsea blue which made the daddy very happy. It's not as wide as my wheelchair so will fit everywhere I go. I'm so excited and so is the daddy. It suddenly gives him a lot less stress when we're out as a family.

Why the days are called what they are....

That the little man knows so if you don't he will be happy to explain!

Sunday: The first day the sun came out!
Monday: The first day the moon came out!
Tuesday: The first day we had shoes!
Wednesday: The first day the world came!
Thursday: The first day we were thirsty!
Friday: The first day we ate fried food!
Saturday: The first day we sat down!
Who wouldn't believe this little boy??

Well, I think he's bang on... What do you think??

(Might be worth mentioning that the conversation went on between the little man and his daddy this morning at 5.45am.)

It's hard to be a woman....

No no, it's not a rant or complaint. I love being a woman, we're prettier than men... Okay maybe except Jesse Metcalfe!  Anyway, what led me to write the headline was my father-in-law. He sent me an e-mail starting with these words followed by this picture below:

Here are some words of wisdom:

"What did she have....?"

I asked the princess the other day when I picked her up. One of her teachers had had a baby and she came to show the children the little one. The princess proudly told me she had stroked the baby's cheek very gently. Which led to the question "what did she have?" The princess looked at me liked I was stupid. "Erm... a baby!!" Trying not to laugh too loudly I said "was the baby a boy or a girl" The princess started giggling "a girl"!!!

We've finally found a way the funiture in her room should be placed. It's a small room and she needs floor space to dance in front of her mirror... Or to just have enough space to look at herself! Anyway we managed to make her desk area really cosy and she does love to sit and draw or write her little stories there.
