Christmas holiday!

Monday the princess started her Christmas holiday a bit earlier having to stay home from school with a temperature. Tuesday the daddy followed and Wednesday the little man.... I seemed to not be following them so I got the packing done and Thursday we piled everything and everyone in the car and off we went!
We're now in England relaxing trying to beat a nasty cold that seems to have got to us all. Yes, I woke up Friday morning not feeling well.....
Luckily I didn't get too bad before we actually got here so driving through 4 countries before we got to Calais went fine, and we had a nice rest on the ferry to Dover, drove the last couple of hours before arriving at nana and papa's.

Despite feeling unwell the children were very excited and so happy to see everyone. Their little cousin had been waiting and it was lots of laughs and cuddles when they all three saw each other!

Colds...

What's worse? The stuffed nose that make you speak in a funny (annoying) voice? Or the tickly cough which makes you bark every time you breath in but never gives you any relief. No temperature, so you're not really ill, it's just a cold. Night time's not the best as the second you lie down, coughing starts and continues on and off through out the night. The princess, little man and I are all having a cold. I guess the good thing is, that when eventually the cold disappears again (in March, no hopefully sooner!) that's it for now and we got it over and done with in one go. Until the daddy of course gets the worst cold of the centry, as men tend to do. But hopefully  the rest of us are immune to it!

Manflu... Seriously?

Men and illness do not go hand in hand very well! I'm sure you all have some kind of experience with that. We've had a case of a, luckily not too serious, manflu yesterday. It's nearly over now, he survied without major scars, apart from the scars on his soul because his soulmate (that would be me) did not understand his manflu's seriousness. He says they'll heal too though, in time! Phew, that's lucky. But seriously, what is it with men and illness....? Must be genetic since a little sniffle for me is the flu for a man! Ah well, I guess it's in my genes to look after him which I do enjoy. I just have to remember, looking after him is not including jokes, laughter and generally fun things. It's very much frowned upon!
