I've been busy this morning and not because I really had to, it's weekend and we're not really doing anything. It's just that I have the most energy in the mornings. Legs feel nearly normal so I just keep going. It's just normal stuff, getting clothes out, getting breakfast ready and then I (stupidly) also started baking. What I should have done was to remember to sit down. Now I can hardly walk which is annoying when I'm not finished with what I want to do. It won't last long, I know that and if I just sit for a while I'll be fine.... Hence the blog I'm writing! Can't just sit down for the sake of it can I..?!
Anyway legs alright now after sitting, first blogging then having lunch, which I did manage to get ready before legs need me to sit!
Right, will I remember now? Doubt it, as it happens all the time and I just don't seem to learn the lesson! Argh.... The rest of the afternoon will be used to just sit, reading my book. If the little man will let me that is. The princess has a playmate here and they're very busy and in absolutely no need of adult company. Well, unless they need food, drinks or treats of course!

So Much For That.
That's the title of the book I'm reading at the moment. Lionel Shriver wrote it, she also wrote We Need To Talk About Kevin which was the first book of hers I read. A Perfectly Good Family was the 2nd and now I'm reading So Much For That. I've enjoyed reading her work and will defo find another one to read when I finish this.
What are you reading at the moment?

The shiny white pages are not all that shiny anymore!
Writing is already on the first of those nice blank and shiny pages.... A few phone calls on the first day back to reality, things quickly being scribled down and looks a bit messy already. Had promised myself to write neatly and easy to read. Obviously my memory is not fully back on track!
The very last bit of Christmas has left the house. On the wall above where all the Christmas cards hung, the princess' Christmas presents she made us, are hanging now. Waiting for new artwork from the little man and princess to be made, to fill the empty space the cards left behind when removed!
The little man's presents he made for us, are also put up filled with flowers.
I bought myself this message board with some of my Christmas money. Hoping to make the mummy-secretary-job a bit easier to overlook. What to cook, who's playing with who and where, need to buy, remember gym clothes.... You get the picture! Will it work? I'll let you know in month or two.

Finished, Over, All Done, Finito!
Christmas holiday that is..... 2 weeks gone in what feels more like 2 days. It's been busy but really lovely and when busy it's not really holiday is it? No, it has felt like holiday. The princess and little man have kindly slept an hour longer most mornings but we stayed up longer so didn't really feel it.
To be honest, we're all looking forward to getting back to nursery, school, work and to go to bed at a reasonable hour! That's okay to feel like that, isn't it? The little man and princess are missing their friends. Playdate already set up for the little man for Thursday. The daddy misses his tools - worried they won't be in the right place, and I'm missing my regular training and psysio to keep the MS at bay.
Last night packed lunches were made, bags were packed and clothes were neatly laid out all ready for today's early start. Always nice when holiday ends midweek, makes it a soft start with only 3 days then it's weekend.
Week 1 of 2012 has begun. I got a new calender with shiny white pages, only a few things written down on them (yet). I'm sure that'll change soon!

First it was the flip flops then it was the slippers!
In the summer it was the little man's new flip flops he had to sleep with http://oddparent.blogspot.com/2011/07/flip-flop-happiness.html - now it's his new slippers! Not the best picture but I didn't want to wake him. When he went to bed he had bare feet, when I checked on him a couple of hours later, he was wearing his new slippers!

Silly hats it has to be....
.... in Denmark on New Years Eve! That we did then but I'll spare you for having to look at the daddy and I so pictures are only of the princess and little man.
The princess did not do hats she said. She needed these glasses as she felt they were more her.... Nor the little man or princess made it to midnight. To be honest, the daddy and I struggled to stay awake but just managed though. At 12 we shouted Happy New Year with mormor who spent new year's eve with us. Today we've been relaxing and we have the next 2 days off too which is nice. We brave it to Ikea tommorrow though. Good idea?? Well, I'll let you know!
It has been a busy Christmas. The daddy had to work, Nana and Papa came to stay for 3 days between Christmas and New Year. That was lovely and we had a great time. We went bowling which I wasn't sure if I could with unsteady legs and a stick but I could. I even did okay! I actually would have finished 3rd if there hadn't been a mix up with the points, I won't get into it though, it's done and dusted! 4th is okay too! (yeah right...) The princess and little man really loved it too and quickly got the hang of it with their daddy's help!
