Summer is here and holiday - what's not to like!

Holiday - lazy mornings - sleepovers and dinner outside. Well, we've nearly finished the first week of holiday and the weather has been amazing. So the little tiny pool has been set up and we eat outside nearly every night. The children and I relaxe and have icecreams before lunch some days (don't tell the daddy) and they have a little swim in our tiny little blow-up pool. I watch Wimbledon and prepare dinner. Yesterday it was spicy chicken and roasted veggies. Yummy!
In 2 weeks time the daddy starts his holiday and we're off to England. We're all very excited.

Midsummer.

Yesterday was midsummer and here in Denmark it's celebrated with bon fires everywhere. We even put a witch at the top to burn. No, of course not a real one! But I do agree it's weird.... Anywho, we went with the children to the nearest beach to watch. It was lovely.
Friday the children's summer holiday starts. 6 weeks where I don't have to set the alarm for 05.55am. Love it.

Oh forgot to show our 2 new garden gnomes. Aren't they cute??

Books! 2 finished in 2 weeks.

Maybe a bit more than 2 weeks but not much. This was the first one and if you don't have anything to read in the summer holiday, I can recommend this. It's really good and easy to read. It has all the elements in it that I needed to enjoy it.

This was the 2nd book and that I read it in 3 days. To be fair I've read it before 15 years ago but I didn't remember everything. It is such a good book and a must read I think. If you love to read that is.
It's a 15 year boy autistic boy telling the story. I enjoyed even more this time around and I do think I might read again at some point.

I am now starting Gone Girl and after that Me Before You is waiting on my bookshelf. I would love it if you could recommend some books.

What books do you read??

He won a Trophy!

And so proud he is, the daddy. He went go karting with his work on Saturday and came home with this ugly thing. He straight away put it next to the TV thinking that's where it's gonna live..... Well, he's wrong. It's not even a 1st place trophy but a 2nd place one so no no. Won't stay in the living room for good. Not to make him too upset I will wait a couple of weeks before I move it. I'm thinking on his desk behind-ish the printer will be a good place, don't you think??

Just look at it - It's not really 'next-to-the-TV-materiale' right?!

Wreck This Journal.

The daddy just went to England for the weekend. I quickly ordered a few things I needed him to bring back to Denmark for me. One of things were this book a Danish blogger recommended called Wreck This Journal.
Have you heard about it??
It's a book you wreck.... Something that hurts me to do but probably is very good for me! The princess is helping too and the little man.
Today we started wrecking and 'crack the spine' was the first thing. I did it and I was okay so rather proud of myself.
The princess chose a page she wanted to do and I chose one. The little man have chosen the 'bug page' no suprise. We'll do that one another day but the princess and I did our pages today and it was fun. Also I learned that drawing a lot of circles is not my strong side.
The princess chose the 'write one word over and over again' page and chose the word perfect.
I will keep you up to date on our wrecking but for now here are some photos.

Some days in England.

We went to England last week to visit Nana and papa and the rest of the family. We had some great days and was spoiled by everyone as we always are.
We went kiteflying and celebrated the daddy's birthday. We did some shopping because that's something we have to do when we're in England.
Friday morning we went to Funny Bones which is uncle's work. He is a children entertainer and very good at his job. He has classes every day twice and they are very good. So if you are near St. Albans check his website out Funny Bones for more info.

We're back to visit the family and to have a holiday in England in less than 8 weeks. We can't wait and this time we 're staying more than a few days. Here's a photo from our-fly-a-kite-day-out
