December, Christmas tree, Christmas Market and a hat to wear throughout the month

The little man with his Christmas hat he will be wearing all December.

It's now December. We have attended the only Christmas party at school which was held on the 1st of December. We've been to the Christmas Market in town and we have yet to watch a Christmas film.

The tween (formerly called the princess in my blog posts... tween is what she is now and princesses are so last season or something like that) is rehearsing a lot these days with her musical school. They're performing the weekend before Christmas and just 4 days before we leave for England. We're very much looking forward to seeing the show.

The little man is back in the school chess club and loving it. He played against his daddy yesterday and 4 moves was all it took to win. Well, the daddy 'wasn't quite ready' apparently but that's no excuse. The little man beat me twice but you don't hear me complain. He's just better at chess than his mummy.

The weather here is cold, frosty and sunny today. A lovely Sunday - perfect for the daddy and little man to play footy outside.

Oooh and the Fairy delivered our Christmas tree in the night. Very magical! We've decorated the tree now and it's very pretty. Pictures can be found here on my Instagram.

A month ago.....

It's a month ago since I last posted on here. A month ago we since watched this magician make balloon animals. My excuse??? We went on holiday and I had to pack.
We left Denmark in a very heavy fully packed car and drove to Bremen where we stayed overnight. The next day we drove on to the Hook of Holland to catch the overnight ferry to Harwich. We arrived in England at Nana and Papa's on a Sunday morning nearly a month ago. 2pm lots of family members showed up for the big family football game. The daddy had arranged it all from the comfort of the sofa back in Denmark. The little man was the youngst player and the daddy and the little man's team won 9-1. They claim it was fair play....
The little man and the daddy waiting to come on the pitch.

The day after the family football it was the princess' 10th birthday. She chose her birthday cake and got her biggest wish fullfilled. She finally got a mobile phone. We stayed with Nana and papa for a little over a week, had fun with our little cousin, had yummy food, flew kites and relaxed. We went to London for the day, saw it all (not really but most of the turist bits) and finished of the day going to see The Lion King. It was amazing. After London and Nana's amazing brunch the next day we drove to Nottingham. We spent 3 lovely days there before heading north to Newcastle and a little further north to Walwick where we were staying with friend we haven't seen for many years. Turned out they live on top of part of Hadrians Wall. They took us to a museum where we learned all about Hadrian, his wall and the Romans. We had a great time with them and by far not enough time. We had to get a ferry back to Amsterdam from Newcastle. A little over a week ago we arrived in Amsterdam at 9.30am. We drove home the same day and arrived at our house in Denmark at 9.30pm tired but happy having had an amazing holiday. Prepare for a massive amount of pictures below.

The princess' birthday cake.

Skipping all the way to the milkshake place in Hitchen.

 Flying kites at Dunstable Downs.
Crossed Tower Bridge.
Saw London Eye.
Watching the amazing street performers in Covent Garden.

Saw The Lion King.
Said bye bye London.
Went to Nottingham.
Loved the sweeping bush people in Nottingham.
Were greated by the angel of the north when entering Newcastle.
Hadrians Wall.
The princess and little man learning more about Hadrians Wall and the Romans.
Waiting to go onboard the ferry which would take us to Amsterdam. Loved seeing the Danish flag on the back.
Bye England. We'll be back again at Easter next year.

Half term fun!

Sunday we went out for dinner at a very nice (very child-friendly) place and had lovely dinner. They did have a proper dinner first before their ice cream despite what the pictures might look like.....

Monday we went to Dinoland which is not a land of dinosaurs even though it might sound like it. No, it's a softplay and there is however real look-a-like dinosaurs. They just expanded so there were lots of new things to explore.
Today we went to our new Frozen Yogurt place in town and joined in their balloon party. The children had to count the balloons or at least guess how many balloons. That done, the diglots had a lovely Frozen Yogurt.
What we are up to tomorrow?? Well, the princess has a playdate and the little man and I will find something fun to do, I'm sure. We can always tidy and clean.
Not fun for a child, would you say??

Micheal Bublè has the most amazing and soothing voice. I love listening to him. Hope you will all enjoy my choice of song for Music Monday
Just a few pictures of my soulmate, the princess and the little man. There's nowhere like home with these 3 waiting for me at the door....

A little man and his lunch box!

Today the little man has to stay at home because he has a temperature and a little bit of a sore throat. His appetite is the same though, and why not have his lunch from his lunch box now it is prepared anyway!

Once a princess always a princess....

.... regardless of being poorly with a soar throat and a temperature, the tiara is in place.

Then I don't want to live here anymore.....

The princess (6) shouts and slams her bedroom door, stamping around in there to make sure we understand she's serious. What caused the anger...?? Hmmm not sure but one thing is sure: Mummy and daddy are stupid and do not understand ANYTHING! 45 minutes later she's still going strong and daddy calls her bluff. Come on then, where shall I take you to live?? She stops and now she's not angry just really tired and could she see a film please to relax? Uh and said in a very small voice: Sorry.
But look at her, it's not easy to see but she can be Queen of tantrums.
