That's a very long time but they still look young because they were young when they married 25 years ago. Yesterday we celebrated my sister and brother in law. They had a brilliant day and loved the frame with flovers we had done around their front door Monday night. That's a Danish tradition and I don't know why so sorry can't tell why we do it but here's a few pictures. The princess helped put the flowers on too.

This is my daddy....
This is how the little man apparently sees his daddy... Love the detailed drawing even though the cropped top is slightly disturbing.... And I promise you, not something the daddy has ever worn! Well, not that I know of....
You guys must agree with me that this is not something we want to see men be wearing, am I right??

Shock - Horror....!!!!
I was watching This Morning (well, the Danish equivalent that is) and what do I hear and see? That the newest mens' spring fashion will be cut off sweatpants, a T-shirt and a suit jacket together!
I'm sorry, WHAT?????????????
I had to call the daddy at work to tell him because I was in such shock. Big cheers at the other end of the phone and him shouting:
"I've been doing that for years"
Which I have to say is partly right.... The suit jacket he has never worn with them but the cutoff sweatpants he's been sporting for years but not with my approval though!!! Now I can't complain.... He has the fashion world on his side and he will not let it go... He'll be wearing these everywhere now come spring/summer, I just know it!!!
I don't know what to do....

You have to have a hat on, don't you??
In Denmark we dress up for New Year with nice clothes and silly hats!
Well, our New Year's Eve was a bit different this year as the daddy has
pnemonia and the princess has a temperature again and a horrible cough.
The little man's fine and even though he didn't see the point in getting
dressed at all yesterday, he did think a hat was in it's place!!
I did not want to cook, yeah lazy I know!!! Defo thought a take away would be better so we had pizza and there's no need to leave the sofa and get dressed to eat that, is there?? So this is where the two not very wells and the little man spent their New Years Eve.....
Watching film after film and a bit of Nickolodeon as well. No too bad at all, we got to watch a lot of great Disney films and just relax together. Today has been more or less the same and uhm.... Left over pizza tastes so good the next day.
How was your New Years Eve???

The Library!
Sounds so serious doesn't it?? It isn't but we did go to the library yesterday. The princess has to read 10 pages a day for school, and we were running out of books. Everyday it's written down on her reading log and signed by me or the daddy depending on who reads with her. When she's read 1000 pages she'll get a diploma at morning assembly. When she's read 5000 pages she'll get a t-shirt. She's already read 510 pages!
She does go to the school library every Thursday with her class but they're only allowed 2 books each, so we ventured to our local library to get more books. I love our library, it's all newly refurbished and very smart. The princess chose a bunch of books for reading and some for us to read for her. The little man found some books as well plus a game for daddy's old Playstation 2. They both picked a couple of dvds too. Films and the game are all quite a few years old but brand new to us.
This is our library where there also is a restaurant, cinema, and a cafe.
Enough about libraries and books.... My mini scooter arrived on Saturday, so Sunday we went for a walk (drive for me). It was fantastic cos the daddy and I could hold hands..... That's something that's been a bit tricky as he's the one pushing me in the wheelchair normally so he has his hands full!!! The princess and little man were riding their bikes and we looked like a 'normal' family! The little man really wanted to try it too and why not so here he is...
Chelsea were playing later hence the little man dressed in all blue!! Matched the scooter though....

Scheveningen, Holland.
We went there and loved it! The beach was so lovely and busy. We loved these very cool sculptures. You could climb on them, crawl into them or copy them... They are called 'Fairy Sculptures by the Sea' by artist Tom Otterness.
The weather was amazing which resulted in two very wet children... I do consider myself quite practical and normally always bring extra clothes etc. Well, I forgot so new clothes were bought and everyone was yet again dry!
The little man, with help from the daddy, chose a Spanish kit.... Whereafter we chose to eat dinner at an Italian Restaurant! No wonder the waiters gave us a bit of stick!
We were looking for new sandals as well but didn't find anything. Now we're back home I got my eye on this website.

Just a temperature....
That's what the little man has. He is not coughing or has a runny nose. Just a temperature... He's happy enough, plays with his toys but just has these "glazed over" eyes. So no nursery today...
But some nice chilling out time with mummy watching Robin Hood.
A whole other thing... Yesterday one of the second hand stores had 50% off. Thought I'd check it out and look what I found, hardly used, for £8.
Both the princess and little man were thrilled with their 'new' things... Surely they must learn to love second hand stores like their mummy does, when they're old enough!
Do you buy second hand things for your children?

She did it again!
Asked me if she can have this thing of mine when I die.... This time it was an item of clothing, last time it was a pen (read)! Guess I should be flattered as it must mean my 6 year old daugther likes what I wear. To be fair she did ask me first if she could have it when I grew out of it. When I answered that I didn't really plan on growing any bigger she shrugged her shoulders and asked "Can I have it when you die then?"
It's this lovely thing my dear friend in England bought me last Easter. It's my favourite thing to wear!
Do you have a favourite item of clothing? Do your children want them?

Like Mother Like Daugther....
These are the princess' favourite jeans. She wears them with t-shirts, shirts and tunica's. As much as I of course would like her to look all cute, neat and girly, she's only 6, I do agree with her. They are cool and she looks very cool in them! I can't really blame her either, she takes after me. My favourite jeans when I was young were a pair very similar to the princess' pair. My mum wasn't too happy about me wearing them (which of course made me wear them all the time) but do I want to be like my mum? No, I'm a cool mummy, sure I am.... So of course my princess can wear her jeans with holes in!
