Our little new cousin - my little niece

On the picture she's holding on tight to her daddy's finger.

She arrived a week ago and I can't wait for it to be my finger she holds on to. We arrive in England the 25th June so still a few weeks before we get there. Luckily we can Skybe and the proud parents sends us lots of pictures. We actually saw her when she was an hour old. Amazing and all thanks to the internet!

I've bought and made a lot of things for our little cousin/niece already and I'm sure I will find more before we get there in the end of June.

Oops, I did it again.

Forgot to blog. Sorry, I know you missed me a lot and I will try and be better in then future. This week it has been half term in Denmark. We've enjoyed the time off trying not to do too much. The daddy had Monday and Tuesday off too and we all had some lovely days relaxing.
Now half term is nearly over and Monday it's back to school. Today we went Halloween shopping just the kids and I. The little man also bought himself a game for the X-Box. He had saved up and handed over a lot of coins to the lady behind the counter. It took a while to for her to count but it was all there.
I will try and be better to write here so don't give up me just yet.

Disney The Little Mermaid.

We saw the musical last Saturday in the Opera House in Copenhagen. It was AMAZING. When it finished we all stood clapping and cheering for several minutes. The kids loved it and so did we.

Here's the daddy and the diglots waiting outside the Opera House. Not sure if they thought Ariel would come out of the water.....
Actually they were probably looking at Amalienborg (where the Danish Queen lives) as it was just across from the Opera House.
Finally in our seats and waiting for it all to start.....
If you visit Copenhagen in the next month or so you should go see it. It's amazing!

Summer holiday is good....

We are relaxing and enjoying that we don't have to get up in the morning. Well, the daddy doesn't - somebody has to work, right?!!
He'll soon have holiday too though and then we're off to Sweden, to Copenhagen to see The Little Mermaid at the Opera and to visit friends we see way too little off. A trip to Germany and a Wedding in England is also on the holiday program but until the daddy is off, the diglots and I are relaxing and enjoying just being at home having no plans....

The weather has been okay so dinner outside and playing in the garden after has been possible. A bit of gymnastics is always fun, isn't it?

The Wedding!

We just got back to Denmark this afternoon after 6 days in England and the most amazing wedding where there was a magician, so now the little man constantly does his magic tricks! They're good as long as you remember to close your eyes when told to.... I'm too tired to write anything more so will just show a few photos instead! Enjoy....

Amazing day.....

Jamming before bedtime....

We were given this lovely piano a couple of weeks ago. It was an old school friend of mine that needed a new home for their piano. I have always wanted one so I was more than happy to take it off their hands. The daddy is an amazing drummer but also plays the piano (and guitar I was asked not to forget to mention) so he was very pleased and so were the princess and the little man!

Tonight the three of them had a little jam before bedtime. The daddy directing the show....

Playground and presents, small as well as big ones....

There were a few days in England where the princess, little man and the daddy were well enough to venture out!! So first stop had to be the playground, right.... Happy faces, fresh air and lots of fun!!

The little man wearing a few of his Christmas presents! A cool leather pilot jacket and his cool hat which he also wore for a while on Christmas day when he got it.... His excitement on Christmas day was so lovely. Aunty 'I' gave him a big present with a little one attached on top. He chose to open the little one first and screamed (and I mean screamed really loudly) with joy: "Look daddy, batteries... Batteries, mummy!! Look...!!" Then he opened the big packet, a radio controlled Rory car! Screams again but not as loud....

He's got his priorities right, hasn't he??

Oh, so many presents and a dancing Santa!!!

He was not real though but still shook his belly! He lives (only in December though) in Nana and Papa's pub where we were having Christmas lunch. The princess and little man mesmerised for a moment there.... Oh, you're wondering why the little man's wearing a cape on top of his nice clothes? Well, he got a Darth Vader mask and cape, did manage to convince him to not wear the mask though!
We enjoyed our fantastic Christmas lunch, played games and got even more presents! You wouldn't think there would be more presents though, not after you've seen the lot in front of the tree!
We woke up to this sight in Nana and Papa's house Christmas morning.... Just magic!!

Hope you all have had a great Christmas?

A night away....

Saturday to Sunday the daddy and I were in a very nice hotel in Copenhagen which is a couple of hours from where we live. It was a wedding present from our lovely friends. We very much enjoyed our adult time, ate lovely dinner and a fantastic brunch the next morning. The daddy has not often been to our capital Copenhagen so a bit of sightseeing was to be done. The little Mermaid seemed a good choice. We made it just before dark after we've been enjoying coffee and hot chocolate.
The hotel we stayed in was very nice and we slept more than 8 hours without being woken. no children calling for mummy or daddy. I even had a shower in peace, no child chatting away whilst on the toilet. The princess or little man always seem to need the toilet when I have a shower.... I guess that's the beauty of motherhood!! Anyway, we relaxed and enjoyed our 1½ days away.
The little man and the princess had had a great time at home with mormor (grandma) so much they thought it was appropriate to wake at 5am!! Poor mormor... She was tired when we got back!
This is the hotel we stayed in, in the heart of Copenhagen!

The Library!

Sounds so serious doesn't it?? It isn't but we did go to the library yesterday. The princess has to read 10 pages a day for school, and we were running out of books. Everyday it's written down on her reading log and signed by me or the daddy depending on who reads with her. When she's read 1000 pages she'll get a diploma at morning assembly. When she's read 5000 pages she'll get a t-shirt. She's already read 510 pages!
She does go to the school library every Thursday with her class but they're only allowed 2 books each, so we ventured to our local library to get more books. I love our library, it's all newly refurbished and very smart. The princess chose a bunch of books for reading and some for us to read for her. The little man found some books as well plus a game for daddy's old Playstation 2. They both picked a couple of dvds too. Films and the game are all quite a few years old but brand new to us.
This is our library where there also is a restaurant, cinema, and a cafe.
Enough about libraries and books.... My mini scooter arrived on Saturday, so Sunday we went for a walk (drive for me). It was fantastic cos the daddy and I could hold hands..... That's something that's been a bit tricky as he's the one pushing me in the wheelchair normally so he has his hands full!!! The princess and little man were riding their bikes and we looked like a 'normal' family! The little man really wanted to try it too and why not so here he is...
Chelsea were playing later hence the little man dressed in all blue!! Matched the scooter though....

Just Married......

Yes, we are and we had such a fantastic day just the way we wanted it to be.
I'll let the pictures do the talking.....

Once again....

Denmark has been awarded with the title Happiest People in World! Wow, we still live in the happiest country in the world... I don't know how  it's messured but it must be true when it's all over the news, right?
Hmmm... Today it has been true so far. Most of the parents at school and nursery said "morning" back when I said morning to them. I can assure you, that does not happen every morning. The postman coming out of the door at the physio also smiled and said morning back. Most of the people in the waiting area at the physio smiled back when I smiled and said morning. The lady at the check out in the supermarket was chatting away and wished me a lovely day. My answer of course being "Thank you and a lovely day to you too"
Don't get me wrong, I am proud of living in a country with apparently the happpist people in the world. I'm a happy person even when the weather is bad. So is my British very-soon-to-be-husband (11days to go) but he was very happpy, as was I, when we lived in London too. Sorry London for taking some happiness with me when we moved to Denmark. Maybe that's why we're so happy here... We apparently find happy people in other countries and bring them here! Hmmm, that's cheating isn't it??

The princess and little man are defo the happiest children!
