Creative??

The little man is very into drawing at the moment. The princess has always been drawing a lot so I guess that might be why, who knows?! Anyway, he's getting good at the more detailed drawings but where he gets his ideas from I do not know.... Or I do, it's his sister but where did she get the idea from??? This is some of their latest creations, first a drawing by the princess called Boxer Man...

Which then inspireret the little man to draw the same....

Here is what the diglots produced over the weekend and demanded to be put up in the kitchen...

The princess' are to the left, the little man's to the right. They're brilliant, eh'???

My little artist!

When the little man (just 5 years old) comes home with two drawings like this in his bag, it's okay to be proud isn't it??
A lovely aeroplane,
and this is Nemo he told us!

Have a lovely Saturday!

Mr Sulk.

Drawings by the princess. Story by pApA.

No matter what you did or what you said, it was impossible to get into the good books of Mr Sulk.
He didn't like anyone to think they were better than him and even if he found that someone had done a good deed, his face would drop and he would go off into a corner (always on the left) and that's right - sulk!

Why?

Because he hadn't thought about the good deed first and that annoyed him.

One day, it was a particularly bad sulk day, he was walking to the Post Office to buy some stamps, so he could send off a letter of complaint. He was always complaining. He met Mr Clever and for Mr Clever it was a particularly clever day.

Mr Clever told Mr Sulk that he had been very clever and had bought lots of stamps last week before the postage costs go up and with his little clever smile said "I'm sure you were clever enough to do the same thing!"

Mr Sulk gave a great big sulky frown and proceeded to the Post Office, one of many things that irritated Mr Sulk was to be made look foolish.

When he got to the Post Office he immediately checked the price of stamps. Only to be told by Miss Postie that today the price of stamps had gone up.
Mr Sulk frowned and immediately complained and said he would write to the Head of the Post Office to complain. So, yet another Mr Sulk letter of complaint!

Miss Postie, who was very tired of Mr Sulk's sulks said what a good idea that was , then asked Mr Sulk whether he needed any stamps for his letter of complaint?

Mr Sulk rudely said "Of course I do, how else can I send a letter of complaint?"

Miss Postie tittered to herself and quietly said to Mr Sulk "Well, you will have to pay the new price, do you want a 1st class or a 2nd class stamp?"

Oh dear Mr Sulk was so annoyed - he went into the left hand corner of the Post office, sat on the floor and guess what?

That's right, he sulked!

(Please don't copy text or use the drawings without asking me first. Thank you)

Simple as that.....

Is what our wedding is gonna be like. We like simple and I think it's very classy. I'm not very classy, a hippie is what my mother-out-law calls me! She's probably right.... That doesn't mean the wedding can't be just a tat classy, does it? Anyhow, as I said, simple is the way for us!
Tables will be have a white velour table cloth on and one red flower in a slim vase! There'll be red and blue balloons on the walls and then the princess, little man and I have made these...

They will all be hung up on a string with sweet little pegs on the wall between the balloons! Sweet, homemade, therefore cheap and very simple.
The food will be a buffet, nice, simple but delicious summer food! The daddy and the princess are so excited about the dessert.
It's a daytime wedding and we want people to relax and enjoy themselves.

What d'ya think?

Sleepover and MacDonalds.

The princess is having a sleepover at school tonight. Just her class, 28 very excited 6 year olds are now (it's 11pm here) probably whispering, trying to go to sleep. I dropped the very excited princess off earlier at 5pm. They were going to have burgers for dinner, be dancing to disco music, have popcorn and lemonade with funny straws to drink from!

So, left with mummy and daddy, was the little man. Thought he could have a little treat so a Happy Meal was picked up. He was very happy but did ask for a cucumber which he ate first.
No toy in the Happy Meal but instead a little activity book and a pencil. Good one MD!!! The little man spent 45 minutes after dinner colouring in, drawing and writing in his little book.
Very happy with himself he sat back on the couch and declared "I'm tired now". I think he found it tiring having to entertain his mummy and daddy all alone! We can be high maintenance....

A little up and coming designer maybe....

The princess loves drawing and for her birthday in the summer, she got a drawing book where you draw clothes on the already drawen models. For her Christmas money she chose to buy one more book similar to the first one. I must say I'm amazed with her talent (if I'm allowed to call it that) but have a look at some of her creations! Lots of fine details for a 6½ year old isn't there?

Saturday at school, a great finish to a week all about well-being.

This last week at the princess' school there hasn't been any "normal" school days. The whole school has worked across the years in groups, the theme all about Well-being. Today it was the big finale and we all went to see what the princess had been up to the last week. Her job today was giving hand-massage to who ever wanted it. The cream used was the good old dark blue Nivea, which never quite managed to soak completely into the skin, leaving greasy and shiny hands! Never-the-less the queue was long and the princess might have a career in a beauty salon in the future.... Who knows?

There were lots of other things to do as well. Painting little pictures which will be put together to one big art display hung up in the school.

The highlight was defo the big finale show which finished off a fantastic Saturday morning. All the children in the school had been practicing Stomp (you know, the drumming on buckets and making noises with brooms etc.) So everyone from age 5 to 16 was making "organised noise" for 10 minutes using empty bottles, empty cans, cans with rice in and buckets. It was brilliant (despite the princess' not so smiley face!)
We decided to finish a busy, lovely Saturday off with a great meal at our favourite restaurant Bones (courtesy of Nana & Papa!) We all love the food there. The little man and the princess especially enjoyed the ice cream they created themselves.
