Well, apparently not today! We woke up to snow..... Snow in april?? That's not on! friday was a Bank Holiday in Denmark and it was certainly spring there. We sat outside having lunch (the left picture above) it was sunny all day and really warm.
Not so much today. Weird but lucky we didn't need to get out or go anywhere. We just snuggled up inside with tea, coffee and hot bread where the butter melts when you spread it. So nice and cosy!
Friday we went to see Junglebook. Oooh, it's good. We really enjoyed it and can highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.
What have you been doing today?

Do you want to build a snowman??
We woke up to snow this morning. We've been waiting for a bit of snow and then we get it on a Saturday that's just brillant. Of course by Monday I will prefere if it's gone again. Just so we don't have make the school run more clomplicated than nessersary.
Well, the little man and the princess were out there straight away to build a snowman.

Will he keep his promise????
It's Friday, yeah!!! Just one thing though the danish weatherman has promised (yes promised) that we will be hit by a massive snowstorm. They are not so sure wether it's gonna be Sunday night, Monday morning or maybe Tuesday!! Come on, if they're so sure it's coming surely the can tell when so we can prepare, right!!
Anyhow, I am not gonna ruin my weekend thinking about what we'll do when this massive snowstorm hits. It's Denmark, not the Northpole (feels like it though) so I'm sure the country will cope yet again with the snow. If just the news would stop making it sound like we should get ready to be housebound for days. Maybe they have a deal with the supermarkets to get us all to do a big shop today....
As I said, my weekend is not to be ruined by this blip in the weather which should be spring-like now, it's March people!
The little man has a birthday party to attend tomorrow, the princess is going to mormor's (grandma) and the daddy is playing football. So as you can see, we're way to busy to think about some stupid snowstorm!

An end to all the Christmas parties.....
Thursday night was the last of the many Christmas shenanigans we've been running to all week. For some reason all the Christmas parties etc. land in one week but on a positive note, then it's done and we can relax!
Anyway, Thursday the princess and 2 other girls from her class were singing, something she'd really been looking forward to! Sorry the quality is not great on the pictures, we were too far away.
She was so cool and all three of them were very sweet singing their hearts out! There were lots of other perfomances and the little man got a bit fidgety and decided to overlook it all form the top......
Friday morning it was two tired children who were woken by an equally tired mummy..... But now we can relax and enjoy the weekend. Today with playdates, tomorrow in the house as the weatherman has promised a big snowstorm will hit us!! I don't mind so much as long as it's calmed down on monday and the snow is cleared off the roads.

Tonight is the night....
... where the princess has her debut on stage and sings her heart out with 28 other six year olds. She'll be dressed in a very cute pink princessy dress, a shiny gold (not real gold of course) crown and makeup. I saw their dress rehearsal yesterday, well most of it was a bit blurred as tears kept filling my eyes! A bit like this actually......
They were all given a little rose as they walked off staged. The princess excitedly told me, that the one they get today is properly red!
I better pack some tissues for tonight's show and wear waterproof mascara!

" I don't care what the weatherman says, when the weatherman says it's raining "
Honestly I don't! I do care though, when the weatherman keeps saying it's gonna snow! We woke up to more snow slowly falling from the sky.... Pretty sight, yes sure but what a hassle when snow needs to be moved so the daddy and little man can go swimming.
The princess wanted to go outside but only if I would come too. Okay then, I will! Boots, skiing trousers and jacket, hats, gloves. 20 minutes later we're ready to go out! Snows is actually lovely when I only have to stay in the garden so I enjoyed it and the silence snow brings. It's like it muffles all the sounds.
Secretely tasting the snow.... Hopefully it's not yellow!
Snow covered trampoline but fun to jump on!
Tea, homemade buns and a film are needed after playing in the snow! She's watching Robots which can be highly recommended if you haven't seen it yet.
Right weatherman, you've had your snow-fun now. Make it stop, please!

"When will it snow mummy?"
"I don't know" Which always make them both respond: "Then Google it!" The snow-question, the princess and little man have asked a lot lately. Last winter we had snow from November until February, this year we've had none. Suits me fine, I'm not a fan with bad legs, the stick and all!
But look what we woke up to this morning....
The daddy had just gone to work leaving this little dry spot in the driveway. The princess and little man were so excited to see it had finally snowed.... It was very easy to get them ready well in time and out of the door this morning. They were excitedly chatting in the back of the car all the way to school and nursery. I'm not happy driving in this weather, the roads were like soap. We managed though without ending in a ditch.... Snowball fights were already being played at school, at nursery the little ones were pressing their noses against the windows, waiting to go outside!
Sitting inside now with bread in the oven writing this, the snow looks beautiful. In a couple of hours when I go to pick up from school and nursery, I might not think it's beautiful anymore! But for now.....

It's done....
...it really is! All the Christmas presents are bought. Yep, all of them... You don't believe me? Well, there are benefits with being disabled and having families in 2 countries. We shop nearly all online, it's easy, stress free, no queues, it's fun and we're enjoying having time to pick just the right present for everyone. This year we're in Denmark for Christmas and the English lot's presents are all done. I know, they're not wrapped in fine Christmas wrapping paper but there is a name on every present, and a brown soft envulope is just what you call "unique" wrapping! Actually the Danish lot's presents are done too and as we're here this year, they do get wrapped but not in "unique" wrapping!
This weekend the princess and the little man, with their daddy's help, have written their letters to Father Christmas. Wonder if their wishes come true....?
What do you wish for??
I wish for no snow, apart for the 23, 24, 25, 26th of December, snow and me with my stick and not too good walking is a bad combo.... Oh and an Ipad2 would be nice!
Just as a foot-note, here's what the princess said today looking at the computer about to play a game. "I can see the voice but I can't hear it talking...??" That sounded to us like "The lights are on, but no-one's home"!!!
