Modern imagination.....

The princess was very concentrated playing with her Hama beads yesterday. She was making things she really needed!

A mobile phone....

A gameboy....

A camera for her and her brother....

Who said modern children have no imagination anymore...??

Guess Who....

We love that game. The little man and his daddy played it yesterday, the little man won, twice...!! Even though he's only 5 years old and it says from 6 years on the box!! The daddy was not too happy about it but managed to keep it in and let the little man enjoy his glory!

Do you love playing games??

Long car journey?? Here's some tips for you....

We've just been on a car journey and as I wrote here a couple of weeks before we left, we had bought these dvd players for the car journey. They were used and did their job to keep the princess and little man entertained. It did nothing for them getting an achy bottom from sitting in the car hours at a time though. Well, we did do short stops quite often and every time I told them to shake their bottoms! It did help but looked silly though but who cares. The daddy on the other hand thought he'd put more action into it..... Not a bad idea at all!

It defo helped their achy bottoms so they'd happily sit for hours again in the car. We're back home now and straight away had to start planing the princess' birthday. It's next Friday (20th). She had lots of wishes so we went for the easy way... The internet! All her presents are ordered at Toys'R'us, very easy.

Ah... That sweet love!

The little man has his first crush at the moment (apart from his mummy-crush he's had since he was a baby. I have now been replaced). It's not a real person though but that's not such a big suprise and he's not the first one in the family either. He's just like his daddy who also had a crush on a cartoon character - read The List.
The little man blushes and gets all giggly when he sees her on tv. He asks to watch Toy Story 2 and 3 repeatedly, to get a glimpse of his first love, Jessie! She is very cute, so it's understandable she was picked.

Maybe it's a boy thing to get crushes on cartoon characters? I don't remember having one. I remember having crushes, but on real people characters. Don Johnson from Maimi Vice was one of them.
Have you ever had a crush on a cartoon character?

He came, he did!

The Father Christmas that is! So exciting and lots of screams from the little man and the princess.
They were both so patient all day yesterday waiting for all the shenanigans to start. We had lovely dinner, then danced around the Christmas Tree before we finally got to open presents!

There were so many presents but at 10pm we had opened the last ones. Good because the princess and little man were both struggling staying awake. Did they sleep-in this morning? No of course not.... 7.20 up we got and wow...... Look at all the presents from the English lot. Apparently Father Christmas spotted them at Nana's when he delivered their presents, then kindly flew back to Denmark and left them under our tree for us to open today. How lucky we are...!
The princess and little man have enjoyed playing with all their new things all day.

We got some lovely presents from the two of them.
Merry Christmas to you all.

It's Christmas Eve.

Yeah.... That's the big day in Denmark or should I say evening because nothing really happens before dinner time! So we're still waiting.... Not the best for the children who have to wait a whole day to get their presents. Luckily the princess and little man are good at the waiting. They woke early today but have so far happily been playing, watching tv and have now gone to the playground with daddy.
The daddy just sent this picture....

There were some exciting things in their stockings this morning which were used straight away. Clever little elf that choose that!

The little man made this and below is what the princess made!

We're spending Christmas Eve at my sister's, which means no cooking for me! I guess that's why I have time to write about it on Christmas Eve! When the little man and princess come back from the playground soon, they'll have a bath and be dressed up in nice clothes, told to be good, say thank you and smile! Then we're ready so let the party begin!

We'll listen out for the bell later, then look in the garden. Was it Father Christmas?? Did he leave a present? Don't worry, I'll let you know!

Merry Christmas.

Dino Land here we come....

"Are they real Dinosaurs' from the olden days?" "No, honey these are pretend ones" We are in Dino Land, a newly opened big indoor softplay very near to where we live. We've been missing such a place ever since we left London. Now we are lucky to have this fantastic place nearby. The little man and the princess had such a fantastic time there today. So if you're ever on holiday in Denmark then this place is worth a visit! http://www.dinoslegeland.dk/
We took a nice picnic with us, found a place to sit then let the children run wild!

For a handicable parent like me, it was easy to get around and safe enough for even me with my stupid legs and the stick!
More excitement when we got back this afternoon. In the postbox were two letters from Father Christmas, one for the princes and one for the little man. They were so excited to get a reply!

Old toys are the best...

We went to mormor's house today. She has lots of old toys which the princess and the little man love to play with. They're wooden and build-something-you decide-yourself kind of toys. Everytime they are there they play with the same few things.

Back home again, lets get back to the modern world. Still being creative, it's a make-your-own-picture kind of game on the Nintendo. Today the princess had the patience to let the little man watch.

He does not have a DS yet as his mean parents think he should wait untill his 6th birthday, like the princess did. To be fair to him, he has not asked for one (yet). Will we be able to be strong when or if he starts begging for one for his 5th birthday? Of course we will! Is it mean or fair parenting? We'll find out when the princess and the little man leave the house in protest.
Cute they are all wrapped up ready to go to mormor's!
