Old married couple...

The princess and the little man are like an old couple when they play sometimes. This conversation went on between them or maybe more a one way conversation the princess had: "Can you close the door" "Can you move this?" "Really why don't you do it?" "I have asked you more than once" "I ask and ask and you just don't listen" The little man seems immune to all the questions. Big sigh... the princess gives up. "Come on lets go play then" the little man follows.

Father Christmas came and went....

... and so did Nana. The weekend has been fantastic and Sunday the little "nisse" came and left things in the stockings. Play Dough and a candy cane for the princess and the little man which were received with loud screams of joy! Father Christmas came on friday night on a boat and he was in town again yesterday at the Christmas market, handing out sweets and making Nana smile!
With a stick the princess and the little man excitedly fished for a present, both luckily catching one each.

The first candle in the Advent decoration was lit. Not a very traditional Advent decoration but I love making my own special one.
The two lovely boxes are from my aunty. Not for me but for the princess and the little man, both came with lovely chocolate in. I think the chocolate should be shared with the adults (as in me and their daddy)! That's only fair, don't you think?

Santa Claus is coming to town...

.... it's true. Today at 4pm he will arrive by boat. We will be at the harbour waiting in excitement! It's a lovely tradition. Father Christmas comes every year to light the two big Christmas trees at each end of the shopping street.
Even more exciting it'll get tonight as Nana arrives (not by boat) on a plane from England with a suitcase full of goodies! How do I know about the goodies? Well, we were asked what we wished for her to bring over from England.... A long list was written!
Sunday is the first Sunday in Advent and in our house a little "nisse" (elf) leaves a little toy and some sweets in the princess' and the little man's Christmas stockings. There's also a Christmas market down town which we'll take Nana to see. The princess will be bringing her saved up pocket money in case (these were her exact words) "I need to buy something!"
But first it's Hello to Father Christmas at 4pm today!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Argh.... it's lost.

My e-mail account went mad the other day.... Think some virus had got the better of it, not that I know for sure. Technical things are not my strong side!
Panic was my first reaction. Silly really, it's not the end of the world and certainly wasn't harming anyone. Never the less, panic was my initial reaction. The thing is, I have had the same e-mail address for more than 12 years, so I felt strangely attached to it and was not quite ready to give it up... Weird? Well I did, after a lot of thought, give up and got myself a new e-mail address! I tried a few times to recover my lost e-mail account. Didn't work until now. Suddenly, after I have gotten myself a new e-mail address, the old one is recovered and working again. What to do now....? Stick with the new one or take old one back? No, I will stick with my new e-mail address, it was time for a change and this was meant to be! Sorry old e-mail, you had your time! Thanks for everything!
Am I the only one being strangely attached to things like an e-mail address? I'm even more attached to my mobile and don't get me started on, whether to change my phone number when I rarely change my mobile!

Music Monday.

Here's a song I haven't heard for a while. Actually, it's a Danish song by Lis Sørensen called "Brændt" (Burned) which Natalie Imbruglia sang an English version of. Yesterday my soulmate and his good friend were playing it on the guitar and I was singing along very loudly. Did I ruin the song...? Does it matter...? I had completely forgotten about it until yesterday, now I can't stop listening to it. Torn is my song for Music Monday. Enjoy!

Proud parents!

Last night we went to the princess' school for a parents evening. Her teachers only had praise and were telling us what a bright, charming, happy and popular little girl we have (I'm allowed to brag aren't I?) So proud we were driving back home, discussing who she had her charm from (me obviously) and who she had her intelligence from (me again) and so on. The rest must be from her daddy! Anyway we were clearly wrong. None of us can claim any of the positive things we were told about our princess. Why...? I'll tell you. This happens later the same night. I'm happily snuggled up in bed reading. My soulmate enters and starts shaking his duvet loudly and 'accidently' more than once nearly knocking the book out of my hand. He leaves the room to get a drink and oops... his duvet, pillow and magazine are on the floor.....!! Are those the actions of intelligent, charming people?

Disney songs on Music Monday.

We all love Disney films in our family and we all have our favourite. Mine is Tangled. It's different to the other Disney Films. There's no Prince but a boy does win the Princess' heart. There's lots of fun lines in there which surely most be meant for us adults watching! All the music is brilliant and actually I had to give you two songs this monday! Enjoy your Monday.

Manflu... Seriously?

Men and illness do not go hand in hand very well! I'm sure you all have some kind of experience with that. We've had a case of a, luckily not too serious, manflu yesterday. It's nearly over now, he survied without major scars, apart from the scars on his soul because his soulmate (that would be me) did not understand his manflu's seriousness. He says they'll heal too though, in time! Phew, that's lucky. But seriously, what is it with men and illness....? Must be genetic since a little sniffle for me is the flu for a man! Ah well, I guess it's in my genes to look after him which I do enjoy. I just have to remember, looking after him is not including jokes, laughter and generally fun things. It's very much frowned upon!

Hmm... What food to have, so many choices...

Does it sound like I don't get out much? I'm just so excited because I'm going out for lunch with my fellow MS bloggers. http://blog.multipelsklerose.dk/ This is where we write about life with MS. We live far away from each other but today we all meet up, have lunch and a good chat. I don't know what I'm more excited about, the lovely company of my fellow bloggers or the food? (Do I have to answer that?) What food will they have there? Uh.. will I be able to choose?

I won't! So I'll end up choosing it all, then embarrass myself when I won't be able to finish my meal.... I'm so hungry now but no, I won't eat, I'm building up an appite! I'm off to catch my train soon so I better get ready!
Wish you all a lovely friday and a fantastic weekend!

Olden days and new days....

Daddy: "What did children get for Christmas in the olden days?" The princess: "Statues, black and white statues..." "Really, no toys or sweets?" "Nope...!" Daddy: "How did people look then, in the olden days?" The princess: "They were tall and thin and they had very long noses!" "Long noses, why?" "Dunno but they were black and white all of them." Daddy: "Were there no colors at all?" The princess: "No of course not, colors did not come until the new days daddy" "Right and when was that again?" "100years ago of course"
So now you all know these important facts about the olden and new days. And who would not believe an intelligent little princess like this!
The little man said he knew a lot about the new days. Daddy sat down to have a little chat with him about that.
Daddy: "Do you know how many people there are in the whole world?" The little man: "A million!" " A million in the whole world?" "Yep" Daddy: "What about cats? How many cats in the world?" The little man: "Ten" "Really, just ten?" "Yep and ten aeroplanes" Daddy: "How many cars then?" The little man: "A million!"
Wow a car for everybody in the whole world but very long queues in the airports! Here's a very relaxed little man who clearly knows what he's talking about!

I know the song, I know the lyrics (at least I think I do) I have no idea who sings the song!

Okay this is actually a bit (or 'very' if you ask my soulmate) embarrassing. I love music but (and lets be honest here) more often than not, I have no idea who sings the song I'm listening to. The soulmate being a musican (he plays the drums, piano and guitar), a very clever one who knows everything (according to himself ) is not happy with that. Yesterday we were listening to the song Borderline, good tune from our youth and the soulmate asked me "Who sings this?" Uh... I felt the pressure because as I know the song very well, surely I should know who sings it. Wild guess.. "Kim Wilde" Uh... the shock and horror on his face clearly showed me I'm wrong and very wrong! It's Madonna of course. Today, Like a Prayer was on, the soulmate looked at me "surely you know who this is?" Ha... I actually do but let's tease him.... So I said "Kylie" Hilarious, you should have seen his face and especially when he realised I was teasing him.
This is our music corner at home where the 3 talents (no I'm not one of them) play....

There's nowhere like home.....

......on Music Monday!

Micheal Bublè has the most amazing and soothing voice. I love listening to him. Hope you will all enjoy my choice of song for Music Monday
Just a few pictures of my soulmate, the princess and the little man. There's nowhere like home with these 3 waiting for me at the door....

How romantic is this....

Click the link and watch. It's so lovely and had me in tears obviously.... (okay doesn't say much as I'll be in tears over a Lego commercial)
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/video/virals/3915087/Flashmob-tube-train-proposal.html
It was my own soulmate and soon-to-be-husband that showed it to me yesterday. His own proposal to me being equally as romantic of course! So romantic in fact that we were so excited to make our Wedding invites, we wrote the wrong date on them!!! Yep, it's true!
http://oddparent.blogspot.com/2011/07/wedding-invitation-oops-date-is-wrong.html
We have managed to get the right date on the invites for the Danish lot though.  Now we just have to actually show up at the right date as well. "Hon, what date is it again..??" Ah.. just kidding!

I have found the princess' future husband....

Seriously, I have! I know she's only 6 years old but then it just saves me many years of being worried, her dating and all that! The other day the princess had a friend here to play, a boy her own age. He is the sweetest and cutest little boy (obviously apart from the little man and my soulmate of course). They played so well and were so sweet together. Now I just need to convince and manipulate the princess in to thinking the same and in 20 years time they can marry! Well, that's sorted then!
I wish... Guess that's not quite how things are gonna turn out. Surely I'm not that lucky, am I?

Only ten fingers.....

That's what we all have and at times that can be a bit confusing. The little man likes doing maths with his daddy. 2+2, 3+1, 4+2 and so on. Nice easy maths where ten fingers are enough to count and work it out. Yesterday daddy asks the little man: "What is 10+1?" Hmmm, not sure what to do so he looks up at his daddy and says: "But I only have 10 fingers...!" Daddy lends him one of his fingers and after counting them all, a very loud 11 is shouted out! The pride on the little man's face was priceless!
I think he's working out the ingredients in the sausage roll on this picture, the clever boy!
