Gymnastic Show, Easter Holiday and way to long since last.....

The 3 first pictures are the princess doing the second of her 2 gymnastic shows. The 3 bottom pictures are the little man doing his 2nd of his 2 shows. One was before Easter the other just after. I have just been so rubbish at writting on the blog. That will hopefully change.
Between the two shows it was Danish Easter holiday and we drove to England to see the family. We had 6 great days there packed with lots of things. Football game for the boys - Shopping day for the girls. Cinema  trip and lots of family time. Here's a few pictures.

Games in the car driving to the ferry.
Watching a film on the way.
The ferry from Calais to Dover.

Football boy...

Seems to be all about the little man at the moment...
Well, he still lets me take photos of him playing without complaining so maybe that's why. In between practicing his skating on his little ramp our garden he plays footy. He preferes to be in goal....
Yesterday his friend and him played in the lovely sunshine we have at moment for a long time.

"Got you"

I played around with the picture on PicMonkey, a webpage I stumbled across actually a while ago and then for some reason forgot about. There's lots of fun things to do to your pictures and I had a great time last night fiddling with a couple of pictures. The daddy was watching footy and his team was losing so the huffing and puffing was getting louder as the evening went on!!! It ended in tears swearing.... Anyway just wanted to show one of the pictures I made and no, I'm not paid to tell you - just free infomation for everyone!

Football fan but not your team, daddy!!

The little man has an interest in football, helped by the daddy who's the biggest football fan I know. As the little man has gotten older (now 5) his understanding of the game has increased and he sits with the daddy and watches the games. He loses interest after a while but not before he knows what team the daddy wants to win and more often than not then chooses the opposite team!! That's all fine when it's randomish games but when it's the daddy's team it hurts when the little man chooses the reds not the blues.....
When we went away with our friends the other weekend the men were discussing this as our friends little boy does the same!!! My friend and I said nothing, it was not a discussion for us to interact in!! None of us suprised that our little boys are winding up their daddy!!

Map of the World.

I wished for one and got one! We love looking at it and when I find the right size pins we'll pin all the places we've been. Each of us have our own colour and as a family we'll have one so we can pin where we've been. Either alone, together, as a family and in years to come I imagine the princess and little man will pin places they've been without mummy and daddy.
The little man loves looking at the little flags at the bottom of the map, one for each country in the world. He knows a lot of them which the Euros and the Olympics this summer helped along.

We have 2 atlases which we do look in every so often but having the whole world hanging on the wall at the childrens height is better. We talk about countries, flags, football teams, people and lots more when we look at it. Being a mixed family of Danish/British maybe the interest is bigger, I don't know!!??

Do you have an atlas or a map in your house??

Only one child....

The house has been so quiet. This morning mormor (grandma) picked up the princess, the next 2 days she'll be having a little mini holiday at mormor's summer house. The first few hours was noisy enough as the little man had his friend around to play. Once he left though it was suddenly so quiet - just the daddy, me and the little man. A few times he called his sister then laughed at himself for forgetting she wasn't here. He did indeed enjoy not having to share playing Angry Birds on daddy's phone though....
Thought I'd make a little collage for the little man, don't say we put words in his mouth!!

The Daddy's post.....

.... Might end up being the only one he ever does on here, lets see what you think!

Guest post by: The Daddy!

Well after years of oddparent begging me to enlighten the world with my knowledge, I decided to agree!

We had a conversation the other night where I told her about the phenomenon of 'Six degrees of separation' which is the idea that everyone is on average approximately six steps away from any other person on Earth.

This idea sounds ridiculous at first, but as an example, I am just 3 steps away from Queen Elizabeth II.  I met someone yesterday who has met the Queen of Denmark, who in turn knows Queen Elizabeth II.  And how about this: I am 4 steps away from Brad Pitt (much to the hapiness and joy of oddparent!).  My best friend knew Chris Martin from Coldplay before his fame, who is married to Gwyneth Paltrow, who was engaged to Brad Pitt!

My ultimate connection is Me to Diego Maradona (the greatest footballer of all time... after me!). 5 steps! I went to school with a guy who knew John Hartson, who played with Tony Adams, who played with and against Gary Lineker who... yes you guessed it, played on the same pitch when Maradona did this:

What a genius!  And Maradona was ok too ;-)

Cheerio,

The Daddy

A black eye... Can you spot it??

Apparently the daddy has gotten himself a black eye! Well.... a bruise is what I think it looks more like but lets leave it for now! It was playing football the other night that got him the bruise. Ups sorry... black eye. Apparently from heading the ball! I took the picture which made him feel better and maybe you guys can clear up, whether it's a bruise or a black eye??

Or is it a bruise......????

Frogs! A very scary little creature....

Don't you think? Honestly guys help me out here, they're horrible little creatures aren't they? No?! So it's just me then who hates them....
The one night a week the daddy is not home because he plays football, a frog shows up at the garden door. That's our cat Muffin's door, she's a very clever cat and knocks on it to be let in. (read) I'm relaxing on the sofa enjoying the fact that 'Medical Night' is finally back on TV, (read) when I hear this little 'knock knock'. Presuming it's Muffin I get up and go to open the door. It's a FROG..... Shock horror!!! What to do, what to do..... I slam the door before it can come in. I'm screaming with no sound, don't want to wake the children. I think the frog is trapped in the door but no way can I check. It has to wait for the daddy to get back home. Almost, only almost as bad, I'm missing most of Medical Night. Seriously frog, why Monday...??
The daddy arrives home 20 minutes later to find me very hysterical, terrified, crying and all over the place. I'm sent to our bedroom to watch TV, door closed, the daddy is dealing with the frog!!!
I'll spare you the details but end of story is, the frog was still very much alive but removed from our premises!

What's your biggest fear?? As you probably guessed, mine is frogs!

"When will I, will I be famous"

... sang Bros (remember the blond boyband..?) in 1987, and today the daddy came through the door singing it! Why?? That's what I asked. Well, at his work they have an internal weekly news letter. Guess who was on the front this week?? Yep, the daddy was! The princess and little man weren't that impressed, not after having the magazine showed to them every two minutes. I tried to be patient but when the daddy hung it up in the kitchen, I had to break it to him. "Honey, it's a weekly news letter. Your picture will be replaced by next week. He didn't seem to mind walking off singing "When will I, will I be famous".
I would love to show you the picture but as it's an internal news letter, I'm not allowed to. You just have to trust me when I tell you, the daddy might be a bit over the top with his singing!

Actually if anyone is gonna be famous, it'll be the little man when he becomes a professional footballer. His newest football shirt brought all the way back from Uruguay. He looks very cool in it. Never mind he's only 4 and shoots as soon as he gets the ball. He's defo the new Forlan! (Pushy parent..? No, why would you think that!)

(My physio is from Uruguay and kindly brings back football shirts from his holidays to South America.)

London Tube map like you've never seen it before!

My soon-to-be-Father-in-law sent me this anagram of a London Tube map. It's brilliant and here's our life in London using the anagram!
We lived at Internal Puke, used to go shopping at Wonder Ego Shopping Centre. I worked for a while in Burn If Sparky, the daddy in Raw Achy, later I worked at Eldest Rot. Contend Grave was a place I loved to go and the market at Mown Cadent is a place I really miss! We used to go to Foldaway Rhumba as we had a season ticket to Chelsea 2004-2005, my tummy growing from flat to big like a huge football. Chelsea won the Premier Leaugue and the princess was born at the Wittington Hospital next to Raw Achy, as was the little man 2 years later!

Have a look at the link and you'll never be bored on the tube again if ever in London!

Early birthday celebrations!

We had one of those today. For me.... Yet again I'm officially 25! Nah.... not really but who's counting after the age of 25. I'm certainly not! Family came around for brunch and cake, we had a lovely time. The real birthday is Tuesday where my mum joins us for dinner. We all watch the football together after dinner, the princess and the little man in bed snoring. Denmark are playing and it's a big game. Yes, we're a football loving family and luckily it's all of us so no one complains.
Denmark got the best fans or defo the most creative!
