About a hundred metres away from me she was, the Queen of Denmark, right here in our little town! The sun deciding to look out from behind the clouds as she is here. I was impressed, so was the daddy, the princess and little man not so much.... Here she is next to the Mayor who married us less than a week ago!
Can't really blame them being a bit bored with all the waiting around...
Have a great weekend and don't forget to join the Weekend Blog Hop over at Clairejustine.
.... Might end up being the only one he ever does on here, lets see what you think!
Guest post by: The Daddy!
Well after years of oddparent begging me to enlighten the world with my knowledge, I decided to agree!
We had a conversation the other night where I told her about the phenomenon of 'Six degrees of separation' which is the idea that everyone is on average approximately six steps away from any other person on Earth.
This idea sounds ridiculous at first, but as an example, I am just 3 steps away from Queen Elizabeth II. I met someone yesterday who has met the Queen of Denmark, who in turn knows Queen Elizabeth II. And how about this: I am 4 steps away from Brad Pitt (much to the hapiness and joy of oddparent!). My best friend knew Chris Martin from Coldplay before his fame, who is married to Gwyneth Paltrow, who was engaged to Brad Pitt!
My ultimate connection is Me to Diego Maradona (the greatest footballer of all time... after me!). 5 steps! I went to school with a guy who knew John Hartson, who played with Tony Adams, who played with and against Gary Lineker who... yes you guessed it, played on the same pitch when Maradona did this:
Remember the "The List" ?? I've had to change mine. First I saw Crazy Stupid Love with Ryan Gosling. Then the other day I saw Drive also with Ryan Gosling. Uh... suddenly realised my List needed updating but who had to go? I haven't changed it for years so you understand this was a difficult decision to make. Sorry Frederik but you've got to go... So now it's official, Ryan Gosling has knocked The Prince of Denmark off my List! It was never that realistic with him anyway, way too much security....
Anyway here he is the new one on my List....
Do you allow changes on your List? If you have one that is....
You can only choose one. Without hesitation the daddy answered Jim Carey. Reason? He would annoy half the people at the table, the other half finding him hilarious! The daddy obviously being part of the last half.
Who would I like to have around for Christmas dinner? I cannot answer just like that.... It takes a lot of consideration! Do I choose an actor/actress? Or footballer? Singer? Honestly this is not easy. No, I have to go for funny. Therefore... Phil Dunphy, the dad in Modern Family, I would invite. Yes, the character. Reason? He's so funny.
What celebrity would you invite over for Christmas dinner and why?
I was reading Random Woman's blog post The one with the indiscreet tweet and list weeping with laughter and also feeling very comforted by reading that other people have a "list" too. I was relieved to find Fireman Sam on Random Woman's list because Jessica Rabbit is on my soulmate's list.
Me: "But why honey?" Him: "She's hot"Me: "She's a cartoon....."Him: "She's not a rabbit, she just took his name, she's a woman" Me: "Again... She's a cartoon honey, a drawing"
Back to the list.... another shocker on my soulmate's list, Pamela Anderson. Really honey....?!
Mine is classy with the Pince of Denmark Frederik, David Beckham and ooh... Jesse Metcalfe!
