Who's the best mummy.....??

I am! Well, at least today I am. We had pancakes for dinner... how naughty is that? Surely that makes me the best mummy! Even if it's only for a few hours, I hold the title!

We're planning to have a really relaxed weekend (is that something you plan..?) with lazy mornings and we started with a lazy yummy dinner.... Pancakes!!

What are you up to this weekend?

The daddy has asked to do a guest post about tantrums. Apparently it's my tantrums not the childrens'. Don't know what he's on about obviously. I'm still thinking whether he should be allowed to do it. What do you think?

"But I don't have 4 hands, daddy"

The little man has been given a lot of Lego for his birthday. Not the duplo but the little original lego which he loves. It's cars, animals, a helicopter and lots more. His daddy and him have been building a car a day the last few days or actually it's just the little man building. Like here where the zoo animals are being made....

Anyway, back to the cars they've built. The little man wanted to play with the four cars they'd made together and asked his daddy to come and play. Daddy told him to start playing and he would come and play when he was finished with what he was doing.
The little man stuck his head out of his room looking confused "but daddy, I don't have four hands"

Two spiders in the house!

Not real ones but these two....

Extra beds made up in both rooms as the pictures are from last week when aunty V and the cousin were here to stay. We said farewell to them Thursday afternoon after 5 lovely days in their company. Friday the daddy, mormor (grandma) and I picked up 7 very excited little girls and 2 equally excited littler boys, and took them all to a softplay nearby to have the princess' belated birthday party. It was fun. Today at 10am, 3 very excited 5 year old boys came to celebrate the little man's birthday. After 3 hours of fun and a treaure hunt to end it all, birthday celebrations are done for now. Tired it has left me but with 2 very happy children, so worth it...
So I guess I can feel absolutely fine about treating myself to a lovely brunch with some good friends tomorrow morning, can't I?

Now with a 5 year old in the house again.

The little man turned 5 yesterday. He had a fantastic day with lots of presents, cake, the daddy's homemade donuts and MacDonalds for dinner.
He got lots of Lego so the daddy and him have been building a lot. He's really good at taking instructions and patiently wait for the daddy to explain. Now we need to find out where he can keep it displayed with easy access for him to play with it.
Time to blow out all 5 candles..... Mormor (grandma) giving a helping hand!!
Everyone shouting hurray 4 times whispering, and the fifth very loudly... The look on his face looks like he's laughing with embarrasment. Hmm, maybe he is....
Being 3 years old and experiencing a Danish birthday celebration for the first time, in a language that mostly sounds like absolute nonsense, is probably quite strange. I think the look on the little man and princess' little cousin's face says it all, don't you??

When I was saying goodnight to the little man tonight he said: "I can't believe I'm 5!" He has really looked forward to his birthday this year.

Hot, hot, hot....

This last week it's been hot but not as hot as the last few days where it's been like really hot, hot, hot.... It's lovely but I struggle a bit in heat like this. It has meant that a trip to the beach was possible yesteday though. It's only 2 minutes away! What's even better is that aunty V and our little cousin are here for the week and we all went to the beach together. The daddy and aunty V quickly thought it would be funny to bury their children.... You so often hear about children getting sun burned on the beach! Well, not in this case.

The little man is 5 years old in two days. I can't believe he's already 5.... He's very excited and next Saturday we're having his friends around for a little party. He was so proud when he handed out his invitations last Friday. The princess will have her birthday party for her school friends on Friday. We're off to Dinoland, a softplay near where we live. That had made up for the fact the princess is born in the middle of the school holidays. She's now forgiven us.....

Dallas is back and we're loving it.

Well, the daddy and I are but I obviously don't know about you! I first saw it in 1988 when it finally made it's way to the Danish tv channels. Don't know what I'm on about....? Well, here's the theme tune from when it first aired in America (1978) to maybe wake your memories! Click the picture and it will take you down memory lane....

Now, let's have a look at the new cast and theme song... Again click the picture!

Wow is what we think... What about you? Are you watching the new Dallas?

Gummee Glove.....?? No, it's a real word!

It's also a real thing and if I had more babies it would be a must have. Firstly, I absolutely love the name which tells you exactly what it is. Still in doubt...? Click on the picture below and enter the competition. You could be the one, winning one for your little baby.
I would actually buy one just to be able to say this sentence "want to see a Gummee Glove?" I love funny words and this is one!

(I have recieved no payment to write this. I just love funny words)

Oh, we do dress up when we go out.

"We have to, mummy" both the little man and princess announced. I'm all for looking nice when we leave the house but my children seem to take it a little bit further.... Today we were going to the cinema to see Madagascar 3 (which it's s great film by the way) and the princess needed her Rapunzel plait and a home made kind of headband thingy. The little man only needed a headband like Troy (High School Musical) to look cool enough! Well, here they are....

What do you think? Do they look cool enough to go to the cinema?

Not so silent Sunday in this house.....

The daddy has finally gotten himself an electric drumkit... Yeah, I know - how cool to be married to a drummer!! Also noisy though, so an electric drumkit with headphones, not a bad choice at all. The little man was sooooo impressed and loved listening to the daddy drumming...

Then he got to have a go and loved it! So did the princess and she really has an ear for playing the drums. The daddy can't wait to teach her and the little man....

Playdate but what will it lead to...???

With the princess still at mormor's Thursday as well, the little man requested a playdate. He's enjoying the holiday but misses his friends and girlfriend from nursery. Luckily his girlfriend was more than happy to come around to play a couple of hours! The little man proudly showed her how Muffin drinks from the paddling pool and after, how to lift her correctly. At lunch time they asked to watch Charlie and Lola. I have high hopes that this is the one! Look how cute they are....

The daddy picked up the princess later Thursday, she'd been missed very much. It really showed the next morning. The little man waking up a bit before her asking when she would wake up. The secound she woke he snuggled up and was allowed to watch her play on her DSI! I enjoyed every minute.....
By lunchtime they were playing, bickering, playing again like normal....

Only one child....

The house has been so quiet. This morning mormor (grandma) picked up the princess, the next 2 days she'll be having a little mini holiday at mormor's summer house. The first few hours was noisy enough as the little man had his friend around to play. Once he left though it was suddenly so quiet - just the daddy, me and the little man. A few times he called his sister then laughed at himself for forgetting she wasn't here. He did indeed enjoy not having to share playing Angry Birds on daddy's phone though....
Thought I'd make a little collage for the little man, don't say we put words in his mouth!!
