True story.

Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills.
They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren't representative of their actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continue. Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems; first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc., all to no avail..
One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally got up from his sick bed (actually sick, but not deaf ) and went to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills.
Apparently this was happening all day long when they were not at home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the "problem", for posterity.

A really good book.

I'm reading Eleven Hours by Paullina Simons at the moment. It's brilliant. I love her writing style.

I always make sure I read paperbacks though cos they don't hurt so much when falling on my face. After having children I seem to fall asleep right away when I go to bed.... So I have to read paperbacks or I'll have to explain the black eyes...!!!
Any tips on reading in bed without falling asleep are very welcome....

Pancakes needed today....

Yesterday the weather was hot, sunny and lovely. The children played in the shade.

Today it looks like this....

... and it's colder. I don't mind so much but pancakes are needed for sure!

With sugar and jam on. Yummy that is!

Wedding invitation.... Oops the date is wrong!!!

Before we went to England on holiday, we thought it would be a great idea to make and bring over our Wedding invitation for the English lot. We typed, printed, glued, handwrote and packed the envelopes. We felt very organized and very grown up being in such good time. 

Well into our holiday we bought stamps, wrote addresses and sent off the invitations!!! The next day we saw our good friends and gave them their invite. They opened it and happily told us they'd love to come to our Wedding 2nd July 2012. Oops...Panic spread......Wrong date! Wedding is 2nd June 2012! All our made-and-sent-out-in-such-good-time invitations had the wrong date on them. E-mails have now been sent and phone calls made to let everybody know the correct date. Will we manage to get the invites for the Danish lot correct?? We'll certainly try.... 

...some might say!! Next big question now is will we make our Wedding on time...??? The Mayor will be waiting at 12 O'clock 2nd June 2012 at the Town Hall.

We'll make it. I'm sure my soon-to-be husband will put a reminder in his phone so we remember!!!
