The Princess on stage

The princess takes singing and drama classes at a Musical School nearby. She loves it and we love watching the shows they do. Last weekend she rehearsed for many hours. Saturday and Sunday afternoons they performed. Here's two pictures from the actually show and two from the many hours of rehearsals.

It was a great perfomance they all did and they all looked so happy and they enjoyed very much.

Rehearsing the songs before the show.

A chat and a laugh in one of the 5 minutes breaks during rehearsals.

Now there's a break over Christmas and New Year. 2nd week in Januar they start up again. Tomorrow is last day of school and tomorrow is also when we're off to England.

Every morning

- there's a little treat in the draw for each of the diglots (never for the parents) just a little gummibear or a caramel. Not once has the little Elf that sorts it forgotten. Amazing eh'?
It's my favourite Christmas decoration.

Which Christmas decoration are your favourite?

Here's a picture of our new arrived Christmas tree.

December, Christmas tree, Christmas Market and a hat to wear throughout the month

The little man with his Christmas hat he will be wearing all December.

It's now December. We have attended the only Christmas party at school which was held on the 1st of December. We've been to the Christmas Market in town and we have yet to watch a Christmas film.

The tween (formerly called the princess in my blog posts... tween is what she is now and princesses are so last season or something like that) is rehearsing a lot these days with her musical school. They're performing the weekend before Christmas and just 4 days before we leave for England. We're very much looking forward to seeing the show.

The little man is back in the school chess club and loving it. He played against his daddy yesterday and 4 moves was all it took to win. Well, the daddy 'wasn't quite ready' apparently but that's no excuse. The little man beat me twice but you don't hear me complain. He's just better at chess than his mummy.

The weather here is cold, frosty and sunny today. A lovely Sunday - perfect for the daddy and little man to play footy outside.

Oooh and the Fairy delivered our Christmas tree in the night. Very magical! We've decorated the tree now and it's very pretty. Pictures can be found here on my Instagram.

When the children do chores

The little man had arranged Teddy and Doggy neatly when he did his bed this morning.

Our children do a few things to help around the house. They make their bed every morning before we leave for school. They put their plates away after meals. They take the bin out and they keep their rooms tidy. They make sure their school bags are ready and put them out the night before. They probably do more some weeks but mostly it's this. The little man just does it whereas the tween aka 'the princess' does too, but with a bit of huffing and puffing.

Hopefully this will help them when they leave home. Maybe the huffing and puffing will also stop.

"I would not be a very inspiring disabled person" my husband/my soulmate/father of our children said!

Me and the little man on Pokemon hunt. Well, not me really but the little man is. I'm just hanging around and watching him catch them.

Response to the headline is that I am a very inspiring disabled person which is why I couldn't stop laughing at my husband's very honest statement. My statement on the other hand might be slightly big-headed. The husband and I were laughing about it all the way home in the car - the kids were not impressed with their parents.

We had been out for dinner last night as the little man had read 10,000 pages so we celebrated at the local Pizzaria. The conversation was on the way home from there. I think the princess was especially relieved it was in the car and not the restaurant where we decided to laugh our heads off.
Yummy pizza for dinner yesterday at our local lovely Pizzaria.

Today is Sunday and we have nothing on. Well, the little man is getting ready for a walk around the neigbourhood soon - for another Pokemon hunt. No sun today though, but that doesn't stop a serious hunter.

Looking at at the sky..... Or at her daddy taking the picture.

It's Sunday today. The photo is from a month ago and has no relevance to this post as such. I just like it. Last Saturday Uncle D,  Aunty E and baby cousin went back to England. We enjoyed having them and got lots of precious time with our little niece/cousin. In less than 2 months we're flying to England for a week and to have Christmas there.
I would rather we drove and got the ferry from Hook of Holland but this year we're flying. It's okay as we get loads of help in the airport so it's not too difficult.

Here's a few photos from when Uncle D, Aunty E and baby cousin were her.

Here's a little thing I wrote for the MS Society

This picture is from a typical morning in our half term. We're relaxing together and that is also what you can call 'hygge'!

You can read it right here!

I grew up with 'hygge' so it is a little difficult to explain. But 'hygge' can be a big thing or little thing. It's different from person to person. A quiet slow lazy morning like on a Sunday or like we had in half term is 'hygge' for me.
Dinner with family (we just had Uncle, Aunty and little baby Cousin visiting from England and staying 4 days) where we played Chinese Whispers is 'hygge' too!
I could mention more things but I think you get it.

We said goodbye to Uncle, Aunty and baby Cousin yesterday morning. Luckily we see them already again at Christmas. Yeah, Christmas which also is 'hygge'.

Road Trip

Some of the music we listened to going to Germany and back on Friday. The kids had nowhere to run and ended up liking most of mummy and daddy's playlist.

Friday, the daddy had the day off and we all went to Germany. We live only an hour away and on a rainy day it was a nice thing to do. Also we're still so amazed with our new car that a longish drive is a bit of a treat. We finally got a car with automatic gear and it's a dream to drive with. Especially for me with my constant-pins-and-needles-feet and my heavy left leg. Not that I got to drive eiher way though. The hubby thought it was best he drove. I have the car every day so he dosen't get to drive it much. So I let him drive of course... no need for tantrums.

We had a great little road trip and have been relaxing the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow it's back to school again. Everyday life is back. Well, nearly because on Tuesday Uncle D, Aunty E and baby I. arrive. They're staying until Saturday. We're all very excited.
This is my treat I brought back from our little road trip. I love the jar!

Friday 21 October 2016

Something like 5000 children and their computers.

All sitting side by side playing games. There was like real gamers/youtubers there too. It's called a LAN Party - the little man and daddy learned.

They spent a good 3 hours there last Saturday. There were things to try such as virtual reality glasses. Both the little man and daddy tried them. The daddy wasn't too keen and took the glasses off quickly. The little man also spent some of his pocket money. He's a Pokemon hunter and a cap was needed for that.
The little man and his Pikachu.

Meanwhile the princess, her friend and I went shopping. We walked, or the girls did, I was on my little mini scooter. We went from shop to shop and were ready to go by the time the daddy called and asked us to come pick them up. A tired little man and 2 tired girls sat quietly in the back of the car on the way home.

Now it's already Friday. Where did the week go? We're of to Germany for a day trip today. We only live an hour away from the border.

Have a lovely Friday everyone.

Tuesday 18 October 2016

Oooops! Once again it's been a while.

There we all are. Ready to go to a wedding.

Only 3 weeks after we came home from our Summer holiday in England, Holland and Germany we flew back to England for a wedding. We were only there 3 days because schools were about to start up again in Denmark. The wedding was amazing. It was lovely to see the family again especially our little new niece/cousin.
The princess and the little man thought their little cousin had grown already.

I thought so too and it was hard leaving again after only 3 days. But now there's only a week until we see her again. This time she will have grown a lot. From mid August to the end of October will be how long we haven't seen her. Well, we've seen her on Skype but that's not quite the same. We are very excited.

At the moment it's half term here in Denmark and we're relaxing. Today these 2 had a haircut and that's about all we did today!
Pre-haircut photo! They were not up for an after-haircut photo. A lot came off both though and they both look really nice.

4 cousins

Here they all are. One nearly 11, another nearly 9, one just 8 and they littlest only 5 weeks old. The bigger ones love their new little cousin. And she is soooo cute. We have just been in England visiting family and spending time with our new little cousin. Here in Denmark school holiday started the 24th of June so we left right away to go to England. 11 days we've spent there mainly with the family but we have also seen friends, been to London and Milton Keynes. On our way back to Denmark we spent 3 days in Holland swimming, shopping and relaxing. We're now back home and still enjoying holiday time. The daddy doesn't go back to work until Monday. Here is lots of photos from our holiday.

Our little new cousin - my little niece

On the picture she's holding on tight to her daddy's finger.

She arrived a week ago and I can't wait for it to be my finger she holds on to. We arrive in England the 25th June so still a few weeks before we get there. Luckily we can Skybe and the proud parents sends us lots of pictures. We actually saw her when she was an hour old. Amazing and all thanks to the internet!

I've bought and made a lot of things for our little cousin/niece already and I'm sure I will find more before we get there in the end of June.

Saturday 21 May 2016

The weather did change but that didn't ruin it for the princess!

The picture is from her rehearsal weekend last week. They were getting ready for their last show of the season. Nana was here from England and got to see their perfomance. The princess loves her dance and drama. Luckily the musical school has a summercamp in August. A whole week of drama, dance and fun. The princess can't wait to go.

The weather did change by the way so the day after Nana arived from England last week it rained. Not all the time but a lot. We hadn't planed any outdoor activities so it was okay.

This weekend we're relaxing. The little man had a football tournament this morning - they lost all but one game - and this afternoon we're going down the road to my sisters. It's her birthday. Well not today but on Monday but we get to celebrate her today.

What are you up to this weekend?

Friday 13 May 2016

Then summer arrived!

Wow the last week  it's been amazing weather. We love it especially when it happens whilst we have a long weekend. Last week we had two bank holidays Thursday and Friday. Where we live there's a yearly market and it was perfect weather to go. The kids loved it - we all did - and had lots of fun at the funfair. The little man and the princess spend a bit of their pocket money trying to win a teddy. Well that didn't happen but they had fun trying. Do anyone ever win at these things?
Yesterday night Nana arrived from England. She's staying until Tuesday. Today the weather is still like it was last weekend and has been all week but apparently it's that for now. Tomorrow they say the weather is changing to cold and rainy. Well, maybe they got it wrong yeah! We can always hope.

Have a lovely weekend.

Sunday 24 April 2016

I thought it was Spring.....

Well, apparently not today! We woke up to snow..... Snow in april?? That's not on! friday was a Bank Holiday in Denmark and it was certainly spring there. We sat outside having lunch (the left picture above) it was sunny all day and really warm.
Not so much today. Weird but lucky we didn't need to get out or go anywhere. We just snuggled up inside with tea, coffee and hot bread where the butter melts when you spread it. So nice and cosy!

Friday we went to see Junglebook. Oooh, it's good. We really enjoyed it and can highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.

What have you been doing today?

Wednesday 20 April 2016

Cupcakes on a rainy Satuday.

Saturday it rained and rained. The princess and the daddy decided that baking would be a great thing. They went for cupcakes. Here's their very fine cupcakes ready to eat. Can you guess which ones the prinsess decorated??

We have a Bank Holiday coming up this Friday. Can't wait for a day off. We've booked cinema tickets and going to see The Junglebook Friday afternoon.

Have a lovely Wednesday where ever you are!

Sunday 17 April 2016

Gymnastic Show, Easter Holiday and way to long since last.....

The 3 first pictures are the princess doing the second of her 2 gymnastic shows. The 3 bottom pictures are the little man doing his 2nd of his 2 shows. One was before Easter the other just after. I have just been so rubbish at writting on the blog. That will hopefully change.
Between the two shows it was Danish Easter holiday and we drove to England to see the family. We had 6 great days there packed with lots of things. Football game for the boys - Shopping day for the girls. Cinema  trip and lots of family time. Here's a few pictures.

Games in the car driving to the ferry.
Watching a film on the way.
The ferry from Calais to Dover.

Model for a day!

My very good friend works for a company who makes clothes for children. Queenz it's called. She asked a while back if maybe the princess would like to be a model next time we came to theirs. Well, obviously the princess was delighted and this weekend we stayed with them. Yesterday she got to be a model for the day and loved every minute. The pictures above are the ones I took as a kind of 'behind the scenes'.
Below are some of the model photos.
We had a lovely weekend with our friends and the princess had the best day ever she said. She loved being a model. Most be her creative side.

Creative Mondays!

Saturday 9 January 2016

The Selfie Stick!

That's what she spend her last Christmas money on from aunty. She's then since done lots of pictures and videos. Very funny ones actually.
The daddy and I might have to borrow it sometimes I think!

Do you have a selfie stick?? Do anyone in the family?

Welcome 2016!

Here's a few pictures from our lovely New Years Eve. We spent it at home with a take away from a local restaurant who does the best ribs!
At 12 the sky exploded and for an hour or so we enjoyed the fireworks.

Hope you had a lovely New Years Eve too.

Welcome 2016!
